What I make

A reluctant late developer

I admit it, this is a weblog. I held out as long as I could, but I fear the time has come.

Why am I writing this? It seems to me that, whether I like it or not, weblogs are a de facto forum for getting ideas heard. There are a lot of ideas I want to share, and a lot of comments I want to make on other things going on right now.

I suppose the thing that pushed me over the edge was Norm Walsh putting up his weblog. I respect Norm for many reasons and well, if it's good enough for him, it's good enough for me.

Also, I suppose I ought to admit that I had several types of nearly-weblog already. For a start there's my O'ReillyNet blog, and also my Advogato diary. I'll probably continue to update those sources, but also add new stuff here.
