The making of Planet RDF

We had such fun making Planet RDF that I wrote an article for IBM developerWorks about the process.

There's a wee explanation of how the planet sites got started. All hail Jeff Waugh! After that I explain how we made Planet RDF. We used a FOAF-style blogroll and the Redland RDF toolkit with Python.

Matt Biddulph tidied up and released the Planet RDF code the other day, so you can download it and set up your own planet if you like. The end results are pretty much the same as with using the code Jeff worked on for Planet GNOME, except there's lots of semantic web goodness inside.
